A few times ago, Unit Kegiatan Mahasiswa Jama’ah Shalahuddin Universitas Gadjah Mada held a talk show themed “Berani Bermimpi, Berani Beraksi, Berbekal Percaya Diri dan Prestasi”  The event featured Mr Dandung Sri Harninto, S.T., M.T, IPU, ASEAN Eng, President Director of PT Geoforce Indonesia, as the main speaker.

The talk show aimed to encourage new students to develop a resilient mindset and a strong commitment to achieving success. During the session, Mr. Dandung emphasized the importance of maximizing one’s potential and becoming outstanding individuals in various aspects.

The transition from high school to university is a crucial period for new students. During this time, they face the challenge of discovering their passions and determining their future paths. Changes in the environment and differing academic demands often require persistence and continuous effort to adapt.

New students must have the courage to step out of their comfort zones, tackle more complex material, and adapt to new learning methods. Additionally, they need to develop critical thinking and creativity. In this context, dedication and loyalty are key to achieving success.

Yogyakarta, Sept 7th, 2024 – In order to support Indonesia's vision to become a developed country by 2045, sustainable and high-quality infrastructure development is one of the main priorities. The development of material technology and construction structures opens up opportunities to create buildings that are stronger, more durable and efficient. One technology that is often overlooked but has a crucial role in this is geosynthetics.

Geosynthetics, although often considered simple, play an important role in improving the stability, bearing capacity and drainage of soil in a variety of modern infrastructure projects. To introduce and explore more deeply about this technology, Civil Engineering and Planning Students at the Faculty of Engineering, Yogyakarta State University (UNY) held a National Seminar with the theme "Strengthening the Resilience of Sustainable Infrastructure Towards a Golden Indonesia 2045."

This online seminar was attended by many students. One of the presenters in this seminar was Mr Dandung Sri Harninto, S.T., M.T., IPU as President Director of PT Geoforce Indonesia, he shared in-depth knowledge regarding the function and application of geosynthetic materials. In his presentation, Mr Dandung explained how this material can be used to improve the quality of infrastructure, from highway projects to large building construction.

It is hoped that this seminar will provide new insights and encourage the use of geosynthetic technology in infrastructure projects in Indonesia. By utilizing this technology, it is hoped that infrastructure development in Indonesia can become more sustainable and efficient, supporting the country's vision to achieve developed country status by 2045.

Yogyakarta, Sep 9th 2024 – Faculty of Engineering, Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Gadjah Mada University (UGM) successfully held the National Symposium on Infrastructure Technology which brought together academics, researchers, practitioners and policy makers to discuss the vital role of infrastructure and technology in the development of modern civilization.

This event presented various prominent speakers, including Mr Dandung Sri Harninto, S.T., M.T., IPU who shared valuable insights regarding challenges and solutions in infrastructure development. This symposium aims to identify various challenges faced in the infrastructure sector and formulate innovative strategies and solutions that are not only relevant in Indonesia but also throughout the world.

During the event, participants discussed the importance of infrastructure in supporting economic growth, reducing disparities between regions, and improving people's quality of life. Sustainable, environmentally friendly and innovative infrastructure is the main focus, with the aim of building the latest science, information and research networks.

Infrastructure development in Indonesia has become one of the main priorities in the national development agenda. The government continues to strive to improve the quality and quantity of infrastructure to support economic growth, reduce disparities between regions, and improve community welfare. In this context, this symposium provides a very valuable platform for all stakeholders to share knowledge and find solutions that can be implemented in sustainable infrastructure development. With the theme "Innovation and Technology in Infrastructure for a Sustainable Future", this event is expected to be a catalyst for the development of new technology and strategies that can be applied at the global level, thereby creating a broad positive impact in future infrastructure development.

Friday, August 9 2024, PT. Geoforce Indonesia had the arrival of a Principal Geotechnical Consultant from Seequent (Bentley Subsurface Company), one of the companies that oversees the geotechnical software used, namely Plaxis 3D. He is Mr. William Cheang, PhD. The meeting was attended by Mr. Dandung Sri Harninto as Main Director of PT. Geoforce Indonesia and Nadya Ayu Anindita from the Engineering team representative and Nastiti Tiasundari from the R&D team representative. During the meeting, Mr. Cheang explained the latest updates from Seequent and Plaxis. After that, the meeting continued by discussing case studies from several PT projects. Geoforce Indonesia which has been designed with Plaxis 3D software. This discussion was very interesting because it discussed quite deeply starting from the choice of soil modeling, the behavior of retaining wall structures and also suggestions for other projects in the future.

Saturday, July 20th 2024, Nadya Ayu Anindita, ST as a Geotechnical Engineer from PT Geoforce Indonesia was one of the speakers at the 2024 Engineering for Teenagers event held by Tripatra.

Tripatra, in collaboration with various parties, organizes an innovative program known as Engineering for Teenagers in the Jabodetabek area, especially aimed at junior high school/equivalent students. This program is designed to introduce and expand their understanding of the world of engineering in a creative and fun way. Participants are not only invited to learn theory, but are also directly involved in simple practices of applied science, which helps increase their interest in this field.

One of the main aspects of this program is introducing participants to the engineering profession and how their role influences everyday life. Through a fun and inspiring learning experience, participants can see firsthand how engineering knowledge can be applied in real situations to solve problems around them, including challenges related to climate change and renewable energy.

Apart from that, this program also seeks to break gender stereotypes in the engineering profession by showing participants that engineering is a field that is open to anyone, regardless of gender. Thus, they are encouraged to explore their interests without social or gender restrictions.

In this program, participants not only gain technical knowledge and skills, but also gain valuable lessons about teamwork, problem solving, and creativity. It is hoped that this experience will give them a solid foundation to explore more deeply the world of engineering and perhaps encourage some of them to pursue careers in this field in the future.

Digital Transformations Indonesia Conference & Expo (DTI-CX 2024), from 31 July to 1 August 2024, taking place at the Jakarta Convention Center - Indonesia is the center of attention for digital industry players.
